Torrent description:

Hey hey hey it's Initial D, finally. The early airing caught me off my guard.

Yes, we know the raw is shit. It's the best one we could find.

The problem is, next week we might not even be able to find any raw. It starts airing on Animax PPV, and NOBODY gets that channel.

If you can hook us up with raws, let me know. Otherwise the rest won't get subbed until the Blurays come out.

But guys, someone posted a ts of this on Share today.
【アニメ】 頭文字D Fifth Stage ACT.01 「運命の出会い」 〈AVCREC仕様:1080i・HE-AAC 2ch 208k〉.m2ts
Looks like it was reencoded to H264 during capturing (I don't remember Animax broadcasting with H264. If it does, just ignore me here), but it's still lots better than what you have there.

damn 10 bits even here. I thought every raw of this was in 8 bit

I'm not sure how a 1080i ts could exist considering the channel broadcasting episode 1 for free was a standard-definition stream...

Yuyu, are you sure that isn't a troll file? Sounds pretty troll to me and troll files show up constantly on Share.

I have the file myself, and it looks neither horribly upscaled nor is it a troll.

Looks like #371111 uses that TS, Yuyu. Still an upscale, but at least the OP is intact and it's filtered a bit. Best raw so far.

Glad to see this Anime is back, Good work sage, looking forward to V2. My only question is at the beginning where it shows the tofu shop the subs that say Tofu Shop flicker as it scrolls. Using MPC. Is there an updated codec that I need?

@ign355; yes the artstyle is not the best looking around but that is because the anime stay true to the style of the manga. I you do not want to miss out a great racing series then I suggest you try out the first series, Initial D First Stage. :)

[Omnicat] <Nyaa> We will of course be playing Star Citizen. If you have a game package, you can join our subversion efforts right here. See you in the 'verse!
[12-22, 22:38] <paulo27ms> In other words, don't watch KLK
[12-22, 22:34] <herkz> the grain in klk was added to give your eyes something to look at because the lineart is so low res.
[12-22, 22:10] <[TRVE]> Or any other bad things that can happen with upscales.
[12-22, 22:09] <[TRVE]> Now think again and you'll come to the realization that maybe the grain was added to prevent banding.
[12-22, 22:09] <[TRVE]> >its obviously mastered at a low resolution
[12-22, 22:08] <sephirotic> @OnDeed May be an artistic choice, but I'm not so sure it's not an anti-piracy strategy. Anyway, since KLK has a "flat style" and its obviously mastered at a low resolution I think it's worth denoising it to save space. Heck, I could always add grain in ffdshow if I feel like it.
[12-22, 22:08] <kas8888> why is a great anime like "Nanatsu no taizai" always subbes 2 days after it has bee released?
[12-22, 22:05] <sephirotic> Not really weird if you stop to think that the BD-R format has been developed and standardized by both panasonic and Sony.
[12-22, 22:04] <NoobSubs> That's really weird because they had the best DVD media especially the DVD+R DLs.
[12-22, 21:54] <OnDeed> sephirotic: it is not necessarily stupid. It is simply an artistic choice. For example see all the noise in Mardock... there are some studies that suggest that human brain finds dirty, grainy images more real than clean, especially digital-clean footage
[12-22, 21:49] <sephirotic> Maxwell = Ritek
[12-22, 21:48] <sephirotic> I used to enjoy old full analogic cell animation and it's natural grain, but Grain added on post on digital anime is stupid. I'd rather get a degrained smaller version. Hell if I really want grain I could always add it on ffdshow anyway.
[12-22, 21:47] <sephirotic> @noobsubs Yes, take a look here: http://club.myce.com/f33/french-study-bd-r-archival-329441/
[12-22, 21:45] <[TRVE]> Apparently it depends on the manufacturing country. Indian Verbatim is shit and Singaporean isn't or something like that.
[12-22, 21:45] <NoobSubs> Do they even sell BD-Rs?
[12-22, 21:44] <NoobSubs> Impossible.
[12-22, 21:43] <NoobSubs> Coldhell's the best version because it's Whole Grain.
[12-22, 21:43] <sephirotic> Panasonic is actually better than Verbatin.
[12-22, 21:41] <xell17> I don't care about 10 more gb. Coldhell is reliable and ohys is not. It's as simple as that.
[12-22, 21:39] <NoobSubs> Only use Verbatim.
[12-22, 21:36] <sephirotic> There are some shitty brands that have started to show wheatering singns on the borders, like Ritek, Lg's and first generation Phillips discs, but even so, they sitll read fine. I think i only stumbled on 4 discs so far of over 50 of the oldests one (8yo) that had any corrupted data.
[12-22, 21:34] <sephirotic> I've been researching a lot in the last months for options of long therm storage + backup and decided to have a mixed of HD + BD. I have about 400 DVD-Rs of old animes that are getting old and I decided that is time for copying the oldests dvd back to my hds. But most of my hd's are already full and it'll be too expensive to buy a couple of new hds now so I opted for BD-R. Most of my old DVD's are 7~8 years old and are still working so yeah, for me at least, they have been pretty reliable, even the shitty Ritek one's.
[12-22, 21:29] <[TRVE]> Are you sure that optical discs are better for you or do you just want to play it on your standalone player?
[12-22, 21:18] <sephirotic> CH is overly bloated. I'd rather stick with Ohys-raw, at least I can fit in a single layer BD-R.
[12-22, 21:15] <xell17> I'd go with coldhell's version for KLK.
[12-22, 21:11] <opabato9000> fff's really slow lately, they got some huge bd backlog... they were just taking too many shows at once and saying we'll do bd for this, this, this, this one too lol
[12-22, 21:09] <jofs> fail. lel
[12-22, 21:09] <jofs> [LARGE=#9900999]Beer, Thank you.[/LARGE]
[12-22, 21:06] <chon1314> is [romantisme] = [subsmith]? sorry accidentally hit enter
[12-22, 21:06] <sephirotic> I agree most leechers probably never even comment in the single torrents, then I wonder if the stupidity is of the uploaders for listening for the vocal minority. And this stupid vocal minority is actually pretty common, just today I was trying to download KLK's bd rip and was trying to find some smaller torrents and I stumpled with one of those idiots in the FFF's release: tid=557421 By the way, isn´t FFF going to do the rest of KLK? I'm downloading Ohys-raws and is slow as hell.
[12-22, 21:05] <chon1314> is [romantisme
[12-22, 20:49] <herkz> i would be impressed if there was 300 people complaining about no flac. the problem is regardless of what the leechers "want", it's actually only a vocal minority.
[12-22, 20:43] <NoobSubs> I like FLAC for archiving proposes and because I can transcode from lossless > lossy instead of lossy > lossy but I guess if you download a lot of Coalgirls, you start to realize how ridicules it is to have a 3GB audio stream for a 2 hour Evangelion movie. It's literally the size of some 720p encodes so I get your point.
[12-22, 20:43] <sephirotic> I think it's Pink Pineapple.
[12-22, 20:38] <NebulaNine> Could anyone tell me the producers/animators of Fela Pure?
[12-22, 20:33] <opabato9000> because 90% of people (probably more) will not HEAR the difference between high bitrate aac (hell, mp3 too) and a flac
[12-22, 20:32] <opabato9000> just "normal" 16-bit flac is crazy for anme encodes, let alone the insane 24-bit
[12-22, 20:28] <OnDeed> why? We rip old stuff that hardly anyone wants in the first place. If we get 1000 downloads of something instead of 640, it sorta improves our mood
[12-22, 20:26] <sephirotic> You uploaders should unite and educate your leechers.
[12-22, 20:26] <herkz> caring about what leechers want is dumber than using flac
[12-22, 20:05] <OnDeed> sadly a large part of leechers will look at you down unless you have flac, so even we started to move to that (for BDs)
[12-22, 20:04] <OnDeed> "it's utterly nonsensical when it comes to anime storage since the video itself already is a lossy transcode" <<<< much, much this
[12-22, 20:03] <sephirotic> @NoobSubs Acutally the reason of my rant was that I had just finished shaving off a whooping 100gb of useless audio data from FLAC audio of animes I Downloaded in the last month. Fucking 100gb. Note that 4 of these 10hds are for backup, so these 100gb actually turn out to be 200gb of used space.
[12-22, 19:55] <MCR75> FAVAROOOOOOOOOO
[12-22, 19:37] <kotuwa> any power user here 9now)?
[12-22, 18:46] <NoobSubs> @[TRVE] I meant for music library.
[12-22, 18:43] <NoobSubs> @sephirotic Because you have 10 Hard drives! Might as well use an extra 8GB out of your million GB and go all the way.
[12-22, 18:43] <NoobSubs> I agree. FUCK THE FUCKING CLOUD. I'd like to listen to music without having some fagget companie(s)/corporation data mine my music library or my files.
[12-22, 18:41] <sarachikorita> Well, some DVDs do too (e.g., Lyrical Nanoha)
[12-22, 18:40] <sarachikorita> Some BluRays have lossless audio, but it's still daft imo.
[12-22, 18:36] <sephirotic> Also Is worth noting that I originally brought this topic in regard to FLAC audio in ANIME ENCODES. While lossless may have some appeal for archival in those favourite music-albums you have, it's utterly nonsensical when it comes to anime storage since the video itself already is a lossy transcode. A couple of 13 episodes series with Stereo 24 bits FLAC may have a whopping 5gb of useless audio data that makes no sense in future-proofing for a eventual reencode. Who the fuck would need to reencode an already worldwide compatible and efficient format like AAC for the soundtrack of a video in the near future? No one!
[12-22, 18:30] <sephirotic> @NoobSubs google the therm "audio-transparency". What is the point of having wasted bytes on something you won´t perceive any difference in? And I also totally sencond dilworks. I don´t live in US or Europe so I have limited signal and bandwidht and I don´t trust the fucking cloud either.
[12-22, 18:12] <[TRVE]> And of course there are movies on cellphones which need to have as small a filesize as possible.
[12-22, 18:09] <[TRVE]> The point of low bitrate, NoobSubs, lies in low-bandwidth environments such as phone calls, ringtones, music boxes etc. It's not so much about pop music, it's about phones and plastic toys not sounding like ass.
[12-22, 18:07] <dilworks> But then, any half-decent media player/manager should do on-the-fly transcoding when moving songs between PC/device, so...
[12-22, 18:06] <dilworks> So you won't be streaming your 320K collection to your Galaxy/iThing/chinese-shitphone anytime soon.
[12-22, 18:05] <dilworks> As for cellphones, the trend is to do away with expandable memory (because lolApple), and move everything to "the cloud™", despite the fact 80% of the world lacks access to unmetered (or even stable!) 3G/4G access.
[12-22, 18:04] <dilworks> some of us still listen music on cellphones with limited storage and FUCK THE CLOUD. But yeah, for long-time storage there are far better options. This is why I download lossless and do my own transcodes.
[12-22, 18:03] <dilworks> > 128Kbps
[12-22, 18:02] <NoobSubs> @OnDeed It's probably only for low bitrates.
[12-22, 17:54] <惡靈降世> I'm a little teapot, Short and stout, Here is my handle, Here is my spout, When I get all steamed up, Hear me shout, Tip me over and pour me out! I'm a clever teapot, Yes, it's true, Here's an example of what I can do, I can turn my handle into a spout, Tip me over and pour me out!
[12-22, 17:53] <NoobSubs> What's the point of low bitrates? Why the hell would people encode a song at 96kbps or 128kbps when they have Terabytes of storage? Just put it at +245kbps and you have a perfectly good transparent audio file.
[12-22, 17:25] <sephirotic> It'd be interesting to try QAAC at 160kbps, maybe it would perform better than nero at Q0.5 but back on the day I didn´t know that you didn´t need to install the full Itunes so I never bothered testing it, This, of course, is talking about Music, Video Soundtrack doesn´t need as much bitrate since it has much less audio information overall and most of our attention is focused on the image so 128kbps VBR FHG should be more than enough. I wonder how QAAC fares with Multichannel audio, tough, it's otimization weren´t very good back in 2013 and I've heard some issues with dynamic range compression.
[12-22, 17:22] <sephirotic> Last year I lurked a lot on the HA forum's ad performed lot's of tests with Nero, FHG, and FDK and discussed with other users. While FHG had the overall best quality at 128kbps, it had a more unpredictable quality overall with different samples, FDK had simillar issues. Biggest problem of FHG is not having a intermediate optimized VBR settings between 128 and 192. 192 tends to be overkill with most AAC encoders for most samples, so it kinda defeats the purporse of using FHG for the best "transparent" setting if either QAAC or Nero or FDK achieve it at around 160kbps settings. The reason I still use nero is because I've found 160kbps still not enough for some difficutl samples in therms of transparency and at Q0.5 (the default most optimized setting for nero) it was just the sweet spot for me.
[12-22, 17:16] <[TRVE]> Or at the very least as an executable and a few DLLs.
[12-22, 17:14] <[TRVE]> I'd like an up-to-date AAC encoder that comes as one executable that includes everything it needs and doesn't require installation.
[12-22, 17:10] <OnDeed> *nero has been behind for a few years (sorry there, busy day...)
[12-22, 17:09] <OnDeed> apple's encoder should be a sure shot in any case
[12-22, 17:09] <OnDeed> nero has beehind behind for a few year, fraunhofer has had some new thing in this or last year
[12-22, 17:08] <NoobSubs> You sure about that? I remember Fraunhofer being the worse.
[12-22, 16:48] <OnDeed> nero is worse than fraunhofer and apple
[12-22, 16:18] <NoobSubs> Nero AAC FTW!
[12-22, 16:15] <kayllin> @ sephirotic why would I be butthurt, I have 7 HDDs also but I don't go boasting about it to everybody do I.
[12-22, 16:03] <OnDeed> sephirotic: the QAAC frontend just needs the right dll that can be extracted from the installer. Installing itunes is unnecessary
[12-22, 16:02] <OnDeed> it will still be placebo though
[12-22, 16:02] <OnDeed> roadi: if he buys headphones for a grand, then yeah, he'll start thinking they really make all the difference, like all those other suckers desperate to justify the blown money
[12-22, 15:52] <jmpatag1> umh -_-
[12-22, 15:40] <sephirotic> QAAC is one of the best AAC encoders, but since I didn´t want to install the bloated Itunes on my computer never bothered ABX'n with it and now I just use the transparent settings I've got accostumed to with FHG and nero. (yes I know nero is deprecated)
[12-22, 15:20] <Nyaa> VBR, of course.
[12-22, 15:18] <Nyaa> http://www.foobar2000.org/encoderpack
[12-22, 15:17] <Nyaa> I just use Apple AAC with foobar2000's Free Encoder Pack (and AppleApplicationSupport.msi extracted from the iTunes installer and then installed separately) at the highest setting (Q 127/~320 kbps) for placebo transcodes if the playback device isn't a computer (car, phone, etc).
[12-22, 15:07] <sephirotic> You probably would even fail at 128kbps, btw.
[12-22, 15:05] <sephirotic> @roadi, do yourself a favor, and perform a ABC-HR with modern FHG encoders at around 192kbps (with is already overkill, for 99% of samples). You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. BTW, I have a pair of Mackie MR5 (too bad couldn´t afford some 8" monitors but that is beside the point) as studio monitors and a AKG K702.
[12-22, 14:54] <roadi> And yes, I might be delusional.
[12-22, 14:54] <roadi> I fail to see your point.
[12-22, 14:49] <[TRVE]> Lossless is for archiving. And you're delusional.
[12-22, 14:45] <roadi> @sephirotic: I see you have never owned a quality audio system. Use those 1000USD to buy a pair of headphones and you'll know why lossless matters.
[12-22, 14:43] <sephirotic> First season is still on my backlog since I stopped watching it on episode 8.
[12-22, 14:41] <(⌐■_■)> Nisekoi Season 2 is in the bag!! soshite....VALVRAVE RULES!! -(๑☆‿ ☆#)ᕗ
[12-22, 14:36] <sephirotic> You sure seen "not"-butthurt, calm, superior and indifferent for someone who doesn´t even care, kid,
[12-22, 14:32] <Zergslayer> i wish i could find some1 willing to encode #606678
[12-22, 14:22] <souleaterfan95> @ sephirotic: Was there a point in boasting how much your 10 HDDs are worth, I am sure nobody cares about how much you paid for your "10 HDDs."
[12-22, 13:59] <jclee1967> Thanks
[12-22, 12:40] <sephirotic> B-but muh placebo...
[12-22, 12:34] <[TRVE]> B-but muh lossless...
[12-22, 11:58] <sephirotic> Baffles me how these stupid leechers keep complaining about the audio of release not being FLAC. I bet all my 10 hard drives worth over 1000USD of storage that neither of those idiots ever did a proper ABC HR in their whole life.
[12-22, 11:45] <vivan> favicon? http://files.nyaa.se/favicon.png
[12-22, 11:37] <NeVe12p4wNeD> @derpi: Thanks anyway. ^^
[12-22, 11:33] <derpi> Ow, Sorry about that
