[Omnicat] <Nyaa> We will of course be playing Star Citizen. If you have a game package, you can join our subversion efforts right here. See you in the 'verse!
[08-29, 16:12] <Dat Size> Soul Eater?
[08-29, 16:06] <Artemix> The Gintama opening, at least the first one, it sounds very similar to another opening/ending I watched some time ago.. maybe the same band?.
[08-29, 15:55] <dungeoneer> does anyone know where I can find a copy of Princess Rouge (only 2 episodes)?
[08-29, 15:53] <dungeoneer> greetings and salutations
[08-29, 15:25] <[TRVE]> That's because LAV Filters are already part of MPC-HC.
[08-29, 15:13] <Dragons4life> I also wonder why Nyaa's guide, does't have LAV Filters.
[08-29, 15:12] <Dragons4life> Idk why, but later in MPC-HC it was giving English/Jap audio on this video. and not in PotPlayer, but now it's not giving it to me in neither. weird.
[08-29, 15:02] <CrossRyuu> bull
[08-29, 14:40] <MangaFamily> 'sup
[08-29, 14:30] <hazardous> xy-SubFilter is for madVR
[08-29, 14:29] <Dragons4life> Thank you.
[08-29, 14:27] <[TRVE]> Or even better, post no. 4.
[08-29, 14:25] <[TRVE]> Read the first post of this, Dragons4life.
[08-29, 14:15] <Dragons4life> Whats the difference between xy-VSFilter and xy-SubFilter, i don't understand they both do the same thing or is one different from the other? i am trying to do Nyaa's playback guide.
[08-29, 13:49] <hazardous> Titans were REAL!!!
[08-29, 13:40] <Senfu> Omnicat pls
[08-29, 13:17] <()blivion> Lastly.... I know/knew what FFT is. *I* was telling *YOU*.
[08-29, 13:17] <()blivion> And, of course, cell towers are tier 1 and fucking everywhere.
[08-29, 13:14] <()blivion> The limitation for most internet services is the last mile to the home. Your average cell tower is fed with fiber optic or line of sight microwave; something like in excess of 1Gbps.
[08-29, 13:09] <shaddrag> How will I find the Shrek video now
[08-29, 13:08] <shaddrag> I miss the old stickies
[08-29, 12:57] <paulo27ms> Nyaa was saved and the stickies were kill
[08-29, 12:19] <Dat Size> Nice sticky you got there, Nyaa-sama.
[08-29, 12:17] <[TRVE]> I was aiming for something like this.
[08-29, 12:14] <[TRVE]> Uuuh no. Not quite...

[08-29, 11:03] <jofs> magic happened
[08-29, 10:54] <3rdPGray> hmm? what happened to the stickies?
[08-29, 10:44] <3rdPGray> lol, I got 0.77Mb/s Speed from that site... not very accurate, my download speed is 0.8MB/s
[08-29, 10:12] <mirrorin> talk about ISP, this is my ISP connection speed, not bad for Southeast Asia connection speed :D
[08-29, 09:56] <LigerNyan> No Psycho pass extended too?
[08-29, 09:19] <galof3> well, that discards something xD
[08-29, 09:18] <MisterDonut> yes
[08-29, 09:18] <galof3> Am I the only one whose RSS are not working?
[08-29, 09:13] <hazardous> i see face at start of ED of Persona 4 Golden. is that hitler? or just me?
[08-29, 09:08] <fated_wings> what patch means?
[08-29, 09:08] <fated_wings> excuse me
[08-29, 08:56] <Ikusa> I'm on 1 Gbps line of my university; it'll be quite costly when I go out as a 20 Mbps dedicated cable (uncapped) costs $300/month
[08-29, 08:32] <Abunja> Have a good one, Stinky.
[08-29, 08:26] <Stinky Cheez> Anyway, good night, my wife is glaring at me (insufficient snuggling) =)
[08-29, 08:25] <Stinky Cheez> *shrug* But still, even 350 KB/s down is enough for me to get by, as I said before. I still, however, think it's pretty funny that my father-in-law's connection is about 80% faster up than down. I've simply never seen any asynchronous (different up than down rates) connection that acted that way.
[08-29, 08:21] <Stinky Cheez> FiOS, and even better, Google fiber are way faster, sure (and even Comcast has 50 mbit on cable in some markets), but those aren't widespread as of yet.
[08-29, 08:21] <Abunja> Oh, I thought you were talking about like it was some years ago. I just lol'ed
[08-29, 08:20] <Stinky Cheez> 22-28 mbit is reasonably common near urban areas on the east and west coast of the US (with some, of course, much faster or slower), but 8-18 mbit is far more common in secondary and tertiary markets. The numbers get worse for DSL/ADSL.
[08-29, 08:18] <Stinky Cheez> Eh? No my connection with Antietam was about 1-1/2 month ago - lol. I doubt much has changed; I just moved, is all.
[08-29, 08:18] <Senfu> Oh boy TRVE is German, I did not know that. Verdammt ;)
[08-29, 08:17] <Abunja> But that was some long time ago, and internet speed improves every time. That $67/mo. subscription probably had better speed as of today.
[08-29, 08:17] <Stinky Cheez> It's not really the same subject, but that reminds me of back when my dad and I had just finished adding an 80 MB (yes, MB) HD to a PC-AT in his office, and someone else asked, "But what will you ever do with all that space?" We both stared at him like he was the idiot he was. More capacity is ALWAYS better, assuming you can afford it.
[08-29, 08:15] <Senfu> I'm fine with 150/5. Upload is perfect for streaming.
[08-29, 08:14] <Stinky Cheez> No, 10 GB/s is NOT useless, you blithering idiot! You don't have to use a faster speed constantly, for it to be superior.
[08-29, 08:13] <Stinky Cheez> Faster, sure, but honestly 300-400 KB/s is plenty for me to pirate pretty much all I care to, anyow. I have 4 TB (3 TB on my desktop, 1 TB on my laptop) mostly crammed with content, as it is ^^' .
[08-29, 08:13] <ajlexahgp0> 10 Gbps are useless...unless you run chinese cartoons tracker or something..
[08-29, 08:11] <Stinky Cheez> At $24 (if that's the US equivalentP), honestly, that connection isn't all that bad. My 28/5 (mbit) line from Antietam was around $67/mo., as I recall.
[08-29, 08:07] <Abunja> I pretty much know that we are the inferior race lel
[08-29, 08:05] <Nyaa> 10/10 Gbps master race.
[08-29, 08:03] <Abunja> I'm a bit envious of you guys. I got 24$/month subscription that is considered the most expensive in the region that only does 380 and 98 kilobytes/second DL/UL, respectively. Good thing is, I don't have data cap. I live in the Southeast Asia, BTW.
[08-29, 08:03] <[TRVE]> My internet speed is not that much of a problem, else I'd have done something about it. I also want a stable connection more than a fast connection. Yes, Germany is one of the countries with better developed broadband, but then there is the fact that large portions of the countryside haven't seen a DSL connection to this day. ISPs are only now moving slowly to change that.
[08-29, 07:59] <Stinky Cheez> No one is making that mistake, hazardous - lol. And 5 Euro/mo. for 40 mbit sounds pretty damn good.
[08-29, 07:58] <hazardous> if actual speed is 4mbps then sync speed must be at least 25% higher otherwise you have speed issues
[08-29, 07:58] <Stinky Cheez> ADSL can do roughly 24 mbit (for ADSL2+) currently. And the data rate is limited mostly by inherent bottlenecks in DSL, the biggest 2 of which are signal attenuation/noise from distance from the closest DSLAM, and noise from the various lines entering/leaving at the DSLAM itself.
[08-29, 07:57] <ajlexahgp0> Oh, ISP talks ... 5euro/month , 40mbit .How does it sound? :)
[08-29, 07:56] <hazardous> any isp's confusing sync speed with actual speed = stupid
[08-29, 07:55] <hazardous> data rate is aka sync speed
[08-29, 07:55] <Stinky Cheez> Of course cable has an easier time supplying high speeds than ADSL; they don't have the same limits on switching, AND their lines are shielded by default, at least up to the house unlike ADSL, which quite often is not.
[08-29, 07:54] <hazardous> adsl data rate
[08-29, 07:54] <hazardous> for example if you have 4mbps plan and your data rate is set to 4096 then you will not get speed more then 3.5mbps
[08-29, 07:53] <Stinky Cheez> It was cable. ANd it was REAL data rate, from my uTorrent Bittorrent client - lol. Speedtests from www.speedtest.org were also consistently good.
[08-29, 07:52] <hazardous> if you are talking about data rate, you might see it on your modem page adsl status
[08-29, 07:51] <Stinky Cheez> I miss Antietam. Small ISP, but they have pretty decent speeds and NO data cap (I asked the installer AND called their office, they were quite emphatic on this). Also, never one C&D letter, although I dunno if that was due to luck or their efforts.
[08-29, 07:50] <hazardous> i am currently on adsl which works better. already disconnected cable long ago. :D
[08-29, 07:50] <Stinky Cheez> Hazardous, I got 3.5 MB/s CONSTANTLY from my ISP, assuming I was downloading from a source (usually a Bittorrent swarm or swarms) that could supply the bandwidth in the 1st place. You are falsely generalizing from your own experience.
[08-29, 07:49] <hazardous> don't forget the data rate. some isp are stupid enough to mistake it for port speed
[08-29, 07:48] <Stinky Cheez> Hazardous, your local cable provider(s) is/are poo, then. ANd damn, that sucks, TRUE, considering Germany is s'posed to have apretty damn good rep for broadband. I'm willing to bet you could find a competitive wireless ISP for the same cost, or close to it, with better speeds (and your wiring will then be a non-issue).
[08-29, 07:47] <hazardous> isp caps wont let it hit those mbits
[08-29, 07:46] <[TRVE]> Yes, DSL. I live in Germany by the way, and I did look around for a better ISP, but the problem is that I live in a house where the wiring hasn't been replaced since 1963, the year it was built, so it's really shitty. I literally cannot get a better connection than 2 Mbit. Same goes for cable. While in theory it's possible to get a higher speed, I'd be getting around 3 Mbit, so I decided not to bother until I can afford to move.
[08-29, 07:45] <hazardous> so far adsl works better than cable for me. i have used both and cable signal always went out due to loads of modems. not enough signal to feed all the modems
[08-29, 07:45] <Stinky Cheez> According to WIki, ADSL2++ is supposed to hit 52 mbit or so, but it's still under development.
[08-29, 07:43] <Stinky Cheez> Mayobe, are you attempting to make fun of a joke name..? =3 Try harder, if so. If not, er, whut?
[08-29, 07:41] <Stinky Cheez> The current max ADSL speed is 24 mbit/s, which IS better than many, if not most cable connections that are currently available, but definitely NOT all. nd you only get the top-rated speed if you are pretty damn close to the local DSLAM, and/or you have exceptionally clean lines.
[08-29, 07:41] <Abunja> Oh, I see. So I've been in wrong for a long time. Thanks for clarifying that. And bytes is larger, of course. Like its 8 bits/byte IIRC.
[08-29, 07:41] <Mayobe> stinky cheez, more like chinky steez
[08-29, 07:37] <Stinky Cheez> And no, ADSL is rarely better than cable, especially now that cable has successfully hit 50 mbit in some places. The SPEC can go faster than (some) cable, but generally does not.
[08-29, 07:35] <Stinky Cheez> Um, no, you got it exactly backards, sorry ("B" = "bytes", "b" = bits; just think, which is larger? lol) and I properly used exactly that convention, Abunja ^^' ; I meant 3.5 megabyte/s down and 550 kilobyte/s up, for example. And I also clarified which I meant, at the time -.-'
Quote:
And yes, those "B"s are bytes
.
[08-29, 07:30] <Abunja> Darn Shift+Enter.
[08-29, 07:29] <Abunja> AFAIK, "B" = bits while "b" = bytes so its a bit confusing if you don't explain what are you referring to.
[08-29, 07:29] <hazardous> adsl always better than cable. the only problem is isp
[08-29, 07:28] <Abunja> AFAIK, "B" = bits while
