Torrent description:

Hi guyz!
Tired of all One Piece releases on the net, only SOFCJ-Raws dvdrip was decent, big respect to them for doing those early eps in dvd quality.
But if you also like anime in HD (like me), then there was no chance to find decent One Piece releases. Toei remastered version was only ok after ep 53, before that the picture quality and the lines are ugly and full of dotcrawl.

So here is the thing:
- Video is 1440x1080.
- The first eps were made from a very good full screen source from usenet and done a LOT of optimizations on them.
- English subs added to all of them.
- Audio: Japanese from several sources but mostly from log collection
- Video quality: 3500-4500 kbps
- Bit depth: 8 bit to make sure that most media players can play it

The episodes will be uploaded in batches, so be patient. My plan is to make uploads in 2 weeks between them to reach decent seed / peer ratio.
This project is in the making more than 1 year so if you like it, please seed. If there will be very few seeds, I will stop uploading.

This is the season 1 part 1 batch, with eps 1-25.

Thank you for the very good quality anime One Piece.
Please proceed.
If English is also your voice.
And 1 question
What is the source of this?
DVD & Blu-ray?
Or Web rips of Toei Animation or were FUNIMATION?
Again, thank you so much.

The source is from usenet by anonymous user, it was a blurry and noisy source but the native source is 1080p. I'm not 100% sure that this is toei webrip but it can be. With a number of filters the result is very good I think, not BD quality but close to it.

i'd compare this to the [SA] one piece release.

video quality wise, df68 has higher bit rate and resolution, but visually speaking i could barely tell much difference on 24'' screen. They were also both 8bit color.

audio, df68 wins because of ac3, but SA was in AAC-HE for acceptable quality but at more file size efficiency.

considering that SA is almost 2-3 times less file size compared to DF68 release for hardly much noticeable difference in visual quality, not really sure it's worth replacing SA.

anyway there only 3 options i see for the early op series. K-F (rehauled+ their earlier releases), great karaoke, but video quality not the best. SA, video quality decent for reasonable file size, but has no awesome K-F effects. df68 if you want good video but also better audio than SA with ac3, but filesize is 2-3 times more.

dbnl might be viable if you insist on dual audio, but i felt jap audio/english subs was fine :X but each to their own.

i looked at smokesnrip's season 1, but the video quality had so much ripple it was disorienting. not sure why people praise as being one of the best encodes :/ didn't look that way to me.

keep in mind when i tested i use megamix lav filters (2nd highest max settings for best quality preset in installer), mpc-hc videoplayer, 1080 gtx pascal gpu 24'' ah-ips monitor.

the toei remastered has good quality but also has crop issues if your fine with that

Moogle: yes I think pretty much the same. The only thing that makes it better than AS release that this video's overall quality is better, but at the cost of file size. Its good that you can choose your version that you prefer.
And also I think SOFCJ version is also good if you prefer r2j anime.

If someone wanted to add english audio to these files themselves to make them dual audio, would you have any suggestions for where they get said audio files from, anyone's files particularly good?
