@zsax There was already a pun, they just butchered it. They should just stick to using CR subs.

@Tanoshii2k1 - The pun is one on the words "akuma demo" (the kanji in the sign) vs "akumademo." Kobayashi then corrects her to say "that's not the right akuma."

The literal meanings of this are:
akuma demo - Even though I'm a demon
akumademo - In the end / Afterall

Aniplus (the only "officialsubs" source to do the PV) had "I think you'll fiend I'm just a maid of the finest kind."

So where Aniplus decided to roll with a closer meaning "fiend," we decided to go with something closer to the pun on kanji vs spoken word. It also flowed more nicely into the next line "I'm gonna be dragon food!" Meat -> Food.

Aniplus' approach is fine too, but there are really limited options when it comes to kanji puns. I really wouldn't say we "butchered" the joke.
